We laten de wijnmaakster Giulia Wz-Negri aan het woord : Tradition is everything in this land. I could have banked on the name Barolo
and on the history of my family, which has been producing wine at Serradenari for the past 150 years. And now, I have been noticed and my work has been acknowledged with awards and prizes. But there is no point in becoming bigheaded: This is a challenge that renews itself with every single vintage. Now that the Baroloboys have grown up, time may have come for us, the Barologirls.

Wijngaard Serradenari in Barolo La Morra

The mountain of Barolo. This wine expresses the best of the Cru Serradenari: A very windy Highland, cold, mineral and floral, due to a microclimate which is characterised by the presence of a constant breeze and from fluctuating temperatures which shift between night and day. All ofthese factors help in reaching a progressive grape-harvest where grapes required for Barolo may be left on the plant for 15/20 days more, thus acquiring a better maturation. This Barolo represents the elegance and freshness of Serradenari, and from the medium-long period it acquires a more complex and mineral nature.

Intense robijnrode kleur. Doordringende aroma’s van fruit zoals kersen met indrukken van warme kruiden. Heel weelderige wijn. Mooi verweven tannines en een aangename lange afdronk.
